I Discovered Guanajuato City (GTO), Mx. in 2017,
and moved from New Jersey in 2018 at the age of 70.
Mountain crests cradle this river valley with a historic photographic colonial city of many charms: A vibrant cultural scene, vivacious lifestyle, warm people, a UNESCO world heritage city, a temperate climate, a major university, classic architecture, modern medical & shopping, outdoor dining year round, multiple language learning schools, and an International Airport nearby.

My answer:
I found it a mile in the sky, in Guanajuato City.
My current goals:

Learn more about GTO and improve my Spanish and Photography.
Guanajuato's grandness, natural & manmade, provides many enjoyable slow walks. I walk out my door; in a few steps, my mind runs free, and an intense appreciation of my surroundings kicks in. Soon, something catches my eye. I reach for my camera, and a new photo adventure begins.
Slow walking also allows me to enjoy the aromas of the bakeries (panaderías) and coffee houses, the squeals of laughter outpouring from the schools, and the cartoonish sight of a scampering squirrel squeezing through a small opening in a gate with a bewildered dog stuck behind.
At home, colibríes (hummingbirds) amaze me with their antics.
Photo opportunities are everywhere.
